Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Our Support Team is here to help. Feel free to connect us  at 775-378-3251 and we will help you troubleshoot.

Below are some common issues that can be addressed for proper use and maintenance.

  1. Straight water spray coming from the mister nozzle or decreased mist rather than a full fine mist.

 Possible causes:

  • Dust in the mister nozzle

  • Calcium buildup

        A.    Dust in the mister nozzle:

Misting systems are designed to be closed systems. If any of the hoses are exposed to air, dust can get into the system. Once in the system this dust can get trapped in the misting nozzle and cause the system to not work properly. You might experience a narrow spray of water coming from the mister nozzle rather than a fine mist.

  1.     Cleaning the nozzle head

If dust enters the misting nozzle the only way to clean the Misting Nozzle is to backflush the nozzle. To backflush the nozzle, you need to remove the nozzle head and reverse flow water through the head of the misting nozzle. See our video on how to clean the mister head.

           2.    Prevention (Refilling the Water Bag)

To prevent the misting nozzle from attracting dust we recommend not removing the black service hose from either the mister pump or the water cap coupling. To refill the water bag, the valve on thw water bag should be set to Off.  The water bag should be filled by removing the water cap from the water bag. The black service hose should not be removed. Removing the black service hose from the coupling will cause the water to drain from the hose and allow air into the service line. Any air in the service line could allow small dust particles to enter the service line and work their way to the mister nozzles.

3.     Full Reprime (Remove all Misting nozzles from couplings)

If you need to remove the black service line from either the pump or water cap coupling, you need to complete a Full Reprime of the system to remove the air and dust particles from the service line before operating your misting device.

To complete a Full Reprime of the system, . Re-attach the black service line to the  water bag coupling then place the water cap suction line into the water bag with water. Turn the water bag valve ot Open.

Remove all misting nozzles from the coupling. Turn on all pumps and let water flow through the open couplings for about a minute.(See Priming the System). This will allow the pump to flush out any air and dust that is in the service line. Once the water is flowing smoothly through the coupling, re-attach the misting nozzles.

  B.   Calcium Buildup

Over time, calcium may build up in the mister nozzle. Depending upon your water source it could be months or years before this occurs. Removing the mister head and soaking the misting nozzles in vinegar can weaken the calcium deposits. See video on how to remove calcium deposits.

2.    Pump is running but no water is flowing through the pump couplings or  misting         nozzles.

Usually this is caused by a loose coupling. The system generally will not leak. If there is a loose coupling, water simply will not flow through the system.

There are 2 primary areas where a loose coupling will occur. Either the black service line is not attached firmly to the water pump or to the water cap. The solution is the same. Push the black hose firmly into the pump coupling or water cap coupling. Normally this will correct the issue. If water still does not flow, then we need to further isolate the issue.

1.     Check black hose connection.

  • Detach the black service line from the water cap coupling.  (See instructions on how to remove hose from coupling).

  • Insert black hose directly into the water bag.

  • Remove all misting nozzles.

  • Turn on the pump handle.

  • Water should flow through the couplings.

  • Turn off the pump and firmly reattach the black hose to the water cap coupling.

  • Follow Repriming instructions to clean service hose.

2.    If water still does not flow through the coupling after checking the back hose connection, we recommend that you connect our Support Team at 775-378-3251.

3.    System is not Priming.

If the system is not priming, the primary cause is from a loose coupling.  See Item 2 above.

4.    Pump handle is not running or charging.

On the MH1000 there are 4 LED lights on top of the pump handle. Be certain that at least one light is on. If no lights are lit, attempt to charge the pump handle. If lights will not go on while charging, please contact our Support Team for assistance.

The MH2000 is powred by a direct USB connection to the golf cart. There is no battery, so the connection needs to be secure for the product to run. Check the connection to ensure that  that it is connected securly in the USB port. If it still is not working check to ensure that the USB port on the golf cart is charging properly. On some publice golf carts, the USB ports are inactive.
