Why Misting Nozzles Clog
Misting nozzles create a fine spray through a very small opening. That small opening is what makes the cooling effect feel light and refreshing instead of soaking your cart seat, shirt, or scorecard. It also means minerals, sediment, and dried water deposits can block the nozzle more easily than they would block a standard spray bottle.
Hard water is the most common cause. Water with high levels of calcium and magnesium can leave mineral scale behind as it dries. If you fill a water bag from a hose, outdoor spigot, or an unfamiliar tap at the course, the mineral content can vary significantly from one location to another.
